We’re working with an up and coming product company that’s looking to bring on a Senior UX Researcher. Your role will be to guide designers to the right approach to achieve their research goals, and undertake strategic research to translate the user needs and goals into insights that can be used to support product design decisions.


As the owner of research you are expected to:
・ Work with designers and stakeholders to understand user needs by:

  • –  Identifying research goals.

  • –  Recommending appropriate research or testing methods and assisting in

    their execution.

  • –  Translating research data into tangible & accessible insights.

    ・ Plan and execute strategic research to help inform the business strategy and vision.

    ・ Promote the value of research through insights and representations of users.

  • ・  Educate and mentor designers and other staff about User Experience and Research techniques.

  • ・  Present results to stakeholders & educate in the benefits of research.

  • ・  Develop and maintain an accessible research knowledge base.

  • ・  Improve upon the research and design process.


    As a leader in the Design Team you will be expected to represent design in a consistent way to the delivery team and other parts of the business by:

  • ・  Being the champion for our users and their needs through a well structured design process that is centered around validation.

  • ・  Constantly looking to improve your process and the way you do things.

  • ・  Instinctively collaborative in how you work and seek feedback both formally and

    informally with all types of stakeholders.

    Skills & Qualifications

  • ・  5+ years experience in a design focused research role working with cross functional team

  • ・  Exceptional written and spoken communication skills

  • ・  Experience qualitative behavioural and attitudinal research techniques

  • ・  Experience analysing and interpreting qualitative and quantitative research date

    and producing clear recommendations

  • ・  Interviewing external customers and stakeholders

  • ・  Experience workshopping/collaborating with stakeholders

  • ・  Evaluating interactions and experiences specifically for the web

  • ・  Communicating and rationalising design decisions

  • ・  Experience of how software gets designed and built, with the ability to weigh

    decisions and make trade-offs

  • ・  Experience working in an Agile or Lean environment

  • ・  An interest in the latest styles and techniques in UX, and eager to experiment with
