Their communications solutions provide a private and secure network that ensures alarm signals are securely delivered from protected premises to Monitoring Centres.

About the Role

As a key member of their IT team your role will be to develop applications that present IoT device functionalities to users via web and mobile applications.


  • Contribute to existing Node.js code base
  • Contribute to existing React code base
  • Maintain MySQL database and linux servers
  • Work in a team to build new products from end-to-end
  • Fleet management app
  • Accounting software integration
  • End-user IoT mobile app
  • Work in a cross-functional team to build new products from end-to-end.
  • Supervise and coach junior members of the development team
  • Engage and manage third party service providers as required

About You

Candidates should be passionate about user-facing application development and have at least 5-10 years’ experience in this space.

Required skills and experience:

  • Git version control
  • Strong understanding of Node.js/MySQL/Linux programming
  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Applying responsive design principles and mobile app development
  • API/RPC design and documentation
  • Android/iOS development skill
  • Linux administration – nginx, MySQL, systemd, etc.
  • Foundation in networking (router/firewall configuration)
  • Ability to work across business functions and engage non-technical team members
  • Management of projects with inter-dependent timelines
  • Supervision of internal and third-party development resource
