Senior Designer

My client needs a senior designer who is successfully produces complex conceptualization of ideas to create original art used in the development of multimedia/video projects. Uses advanced knowledge of web and new media design skills to produce creative, comprehensive layouts and designs for electronic client deliverables. Maintains and applies advanced design / interactive design skills and a broad knowledge of current design and new media production techniques. Uses advanced
communication skills to offer multifaceted conceptual design solutions in relation to client’s business needs, within a global brand.

Leads, manages and oversees complex design projects from concept through production, effectively prioritizes and assigns work, and balances multiple priorities simultaneously. Plans and schedules resources to meet client commitments and deadlines. Communicates and inspires both on-shore and offshore team to ensure high quality, on-time service delivery, supporting the Design Manager in daily tasks and priorities.

Purpose of the Job:
 Brand custodian
 Creates layouts with strong typography and appropriate use of color, images and fonts, allowing for readability of type.
 Creates interactive presentations or proposals using a variety of software tools.
 Develops architecture, artwork and basic programming for creation of new media presentations, graphics web design and on-screen presentations.
 Delivers high quality animation/video outputs for multiple platforms based on client requirements
 Maintains expertise with Adobe Creative Suite software – especially video production, intermediate skills in Dreamweaver, and proficiency in MS
 Advanced knowledge for troubleshooting technical issues during the production process.
 Develops best practices utilizing "state-of-the-art" techniques, equipment, and advancements within the design community.
 Assists in establishing vendor lists, develops and maintains vendor relationships, and works with external vendors regarding the coordination of
production for external products and services.
 Raises awareness and supports firm brand.
 Understands, implements, and strictly adheres to the quality standards and procedures established, including creative standards, and guidelines.
 May train other senior designers, designers, and document specialists in the use of design principles, as well as the use of specific design tools.
 Excellent team working, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, and persuade.
 Pursues and shares best practices within the department and among staff.
 Utilizes the web based database to ensure all time and materials are billed correctly, project instructions and client interactions are fully documented.
 Creates timelines and cost estimates for client approval.
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
 Thinks strategically to relate design work to the clients business needs.
 Influences clients to choose an effective design and deliverable solution within budget requirements.
 Facilitates project meetings and positive discussions relating to appropriate graphics methods/techniques to meet project requirements.
 Successfully negotiates project deadlines to create timelines, determines project scope to define cost estimates, and schedule changes for client
 Creative conceptualization.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
 Portfolio: A strong electronic design portfolio with a variety of current, leading edge design work
 Communication skills: Good communication skills in English are essential as the role requires direct communication with international team members
and clients.
 Tools: Excellent technical knowledge in Adobe AfterEffects, Premiere, Illustrator and related Adobe products are pre-requisites for this role.  Should have excellent skills in MS Office tools – especially PowerPoint
and Word. Knowledge of Adobe Animate will be an added advantage for the role.

Supervision Responsibilities:
Will act as a key team lead supporting the Oceania Design Manager and will have associated supervision responsibilities including people management, project management, performance management and Management Reporting responsibilities Acts as an advisor/coach in a peer mentor role or as a subject matter expert.

Other Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Graphic Design and/or related discipline, or relevant work experience.
10+ years

Certification Requirements:
A diploma certificate in multimedia from a reputed institution
