The integration of the PR department is very important; PR at this agency was conceived specifically to provide clients with a full service agency experience so it is crucial to understand PR’s role within a larger function. The PR team are the ‘comms gurus’, competently and generously providing advice (including for non-PR clients) and constantly cross-selling they agency’s services. The ultimate aim is always to secure clients who are supported by all departments.
The ‘Account Manager – PR’ role is a mid-level position within the PR team requiring 2-4 years similar experience, reporting to a Communications Director (who heads this team) and other senior members of the team. An Account Manager within this team has a highly collaborative role and is the ‘engine room’ for the PR business – this includes managing large components of client activities, media and client contact, working collaboratively with junior and senior staff and generally being a diligent, positive and hard working team member. The role will see you working across leading brands in the property, retail and consumer space. You will be a strong communicator, a self-starter with great media relation skills, and attention to detail. You will come from a great agency background and either have experience or a passion for events.
