My client is a leading Global retail powerhouse group, they are going from strength to strength in the Australian market, and as such are now looking for a PR Manager to join their Marketing division. Your role will focus on managing the external public relations program for the Group in Australia, alongside the internal and corporate communications for the group. Working with their appointed PR and marketing communications agencies you will work to position the company’s brand(s) as loved and desired brands in the market, managing all PR launch, media relations, and ongoing maintenance PR for the group, also ensuring complete integration of the PR program with other elements of the marketing program. You will also work closely with HR (and other divisions) to manage internal communications, and liaise with their global offices to both manage and execute local corporate communications programs.

POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help to direct and manage the external public relations program for the brand(s)
• Manage any media events, launch programs, or PR activations for the brand
• Direct & manage the appointed agency PR teams, ensuring their work is on brand, meets corporate guidelines and is executed on time and on budget
• Ensuring integration across the PR and broader marketing communications programs, including social and digital
• Sample management for all consumer PR programs
• Working with the balance of the marketing team & photography suppliers for the production of any PR content
• Creating and managing an online PR media centre
• Help to direct and manage the corporate communications program in Australia – preparing all relevant local vendor, landlord and other key corporate contact communications tools and programs
• Liaise with the global Corporate Communications team for approvals on Australian Corporate communications and key internal communications announcements
• Working closely with HR (and other divisional leaders within the business) to plan, manage and execute the internal communications program for the total business
• Support Store Openings with exciting PR initiatives
• Lead the management and execution of all internal events
• Ability to be spokesperson for company, after Head of Marketing

• Timelines are met

IDEAL EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS / COMPETENCIES:

• Tertiary qualified in PR / marketing communications
• Demonstrated direct relationships with media in the market
• Exceptional writing skills
• Experience managing an external PR agency
• Experience in large scale event / PR activations
• Confident verbal communicator & presenter
• Experience as a company spokesperson
• Team player who can demonstrate initiative
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritise and work to deadlines
• Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook

This is an amazing role for an experienced PR practitioner, coming from an agency or in-house environment, ideally with 5-7 years of experience, retail, fashion or homewares experience is desired, but not a necessity.
